Batman's New Wheels: Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Captured During Filming

Despite what you might think, it's actually quite difficult to snag pictures or videos during filming of a big blockbuster like the next Batman flick called the "Dark Knight Rises", as studios hire people simply to obstruct the view of anyone trying to capture the moment on camera.

Nevertheless, VW Vortex member VadGTi overcame these problems and was able to take a few good shots of Bruce Wayne's new rich-boy toy, the Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4, which replaces the Murcielago seen in the previous installments of the Dark Knight franchise.

Video: Lamborghini Gallardo "Ditched" to Avoid Oncoming Car

After a great trackday at the Modena circuit in Italy, the owner of this Lamborghini Gallardo took the road towards home. Little did he know just how much (deep) trouble he would get into…

According to supercar enthusiasts Marchettino who filmed his friend in the Italian supercar doing the rounds on the track and during the aftermath of the incident you're about to watch in the video below, at some point the owner of the Gallardo tried to pull to the side of the narrow road to avoid coming in contact with another vehicle.

Unfortunately, he miscalculated the width of the road and ended up half-way into the ditch.

Meet the Journalist who Crashed the €387,000 Lamborghini Aventador

Unless you are from Austria or Germany, there's a good chance you may not have heard of Thomas Glavinic before; he is a writer that also happens to collaborate with Autorevue, an Austrian car magazine.

But that's about the change because Mr. Glavinic had the unfortunate fate of being the first person to go on record for crashing Lamborghini's astonishing Aventador LP 700-4.

autoscardesign regulars will undoubtedly remember our report on the incident a few weeks ago, though at the time we didn’t have many details on the crash other than it occurred in Italy on August 30.

Today, however, the crew over at Autoreview decided it was time to confess their doings and reveal that the man behind the steering wheel was one of their own, Thomas Glavinic.

Lamborghini to Roll Out More Limited Production Supercars like the Sesto Elemento

Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelman surprised everyone when, on the eve of the Frankfurt Motor Show, announced that the Italian company would put the impressive Sesto Elemento concept into production.

The carbon fibre-bodied Sesto Elemento is powered by a 570HP V10 and, thanks to its low weight of 999 kg (2,202 pounds), accelerates from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 2.5 seconds.

Now, if you thought that this was a surprise, here comes another one: Winkelmann revealed that the very limited-production Sesto Elemento (20 units) is only the beginning.

Video: Lamborghini Aventador vs Gallardo Spyder vs Ferrari 360 Modena

If it where any other type of cars, we'd probably skip this vide altogether, but it’s not every day that you see a spanking new Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 getting ready to eat sprint race a Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 Spyder and Coupe, a Ferrari 360 Modena Spider and the tail of the bunch, a BMW M3 Coupe E46.

Of course there's a matter of who's driving the Italian supercars and what condition they're in, but it looks like the Aventador and the LP 560-4 Spyder pretty much smoked the rest.

Click past the break to watch the short clip for yourself.

Lamborghini Confirms Limited Production Run of the Sesto Elemento

The Gallardo Super Trofeo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale may have been the center of attention at Lamborghini's press event in Frankfurt, but the Italian company had another surprise under its sleeve as it announced that the stunning Sesto Elemento concept would enter a limited production.

The Sesto Elemento was unveiled at last year’s Paris Motor Show as a showcase for Lamborghini’s technological innovations. The automaker had then denied speculation that it was the Gallardo’s replacement or a new addition to its range.

IAA 2011: New Hardcore Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale

One simple word at Lamborghini’s invitation to the 64th Frankfurt Motor Show should have given us a clue about the kind of car the Sant’ Agata manufacturer would unveil at this year’s IAA. The key word was “racing”, and that is exactly what Lamborghini will present, the most hardcore Gallardo ever built. And it doesn’t get any more hardcore than a street-legal version of a racing car. With the amount of free publicity I give Pontiac Fiero-based replicas on eBay, I think the sellers should be paying me…ahem…a commission.

From the vulgar depths of eBay Hell comes this...thing...this yellow-painted monstrosity that wants to pass as a Lamborghini. There are kids in Nepal, kids who have never seen a car before that would spot this fake from a mile away. Let’s run down our eBay Bad Buy™ checklist, shall we?

The Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 may be the new kid on the block, but Duesseldorf-based tuning house DMC has set its eyes on the Murcielago with the presentation of the Molto Veloce styling and performance package.

As the name suggests, the kit is inspired by the Murcielago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce or SV for short. On the outside, the package adds a new front bumper, a large and somewhat awkwardly looking rear wing and a restyled rear bumper that houses a diffuser, with all parts made in carbon fibre.

Top Gear: Former Employee Claims Pro Drivers do Clarkson’s Stunts, BBC Rejects Allegations

Some say it is the world’s most famous car show, with millions of viewers worldwide and that, despite having three presenters, plus the man in white known as The Stig, 51-year old Jeremy Clarkson is the undisputed star of the show. All we know is that it's called Top Gear and it has run on BBC for 17 seasons so far.

And as one of the most popular and long-running TV shows in the world, Top Gear and Jeremy Clarkson often make headlines, but not for the reasons one would expect.

Now, British tabloid Daily Mail has put up a story claiming that Clarkson’s stunts are not always performed by him, but by professional racing drivers. The newspaper cites two unnamed sources, one of which is said to have worked for Top Gear for more than five years.

Mom Takes her First Ride in Flame Throwing, 1,250 WHP Lamborghini Gallaro

Truth to be said, most people wouldn't feel comfortable sitting on the passenger side of a speeding Lamborghini Gallardo, let alone, a twin-turbocharged version upgraded by Underground Racing to deliver a whopping 1,250 wheel-horsepower.

But even though mom's reactions to her son's twitchy right foot doesn't seem overboard or unjustified, it's worth a look in the video after the jump.
