Renault’s Dacia Duster “No Limit” Racer gets 850HP V6 Sourced from the Nissan GT-R!

Following an early reveal on racing driver Jean-Philippe Dayraut's website, Renault today released official photos of its PikesPeak contender, the 850HP Dacia Duster “No Limit”. The name comes from the “Unlimited” class of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, which imposes no restrictions on the size or power output of the engine, maximum power or torque. In addition, there are no restrictions concerning the transmission or the aerodynamic characteristics. Looking at the size of the Duster's rear wing, it is obvious the car competes in the “Unlimited” class.

The one-off prototype was built by Tork Engineering (which handled the design, production, assembly and development) and Sodemo (engine), in association with Renault Sport Technologies, which supplied certain components.

For the time being, Dacia's parent company Renault doesn't seem to have any solid plans to further expand the range of its low-cost Logan subcompact, but that hasn't stopped tuning companies from creating their own unique proposals.

Geneva Show: Dacia Duster Coupe Crossover Concept

Dacia, Renault's Romanian budget brand, launched its first-ever concept car at the Geneva Motor Show. Designed collaboratively by the Renault Design Central Europe studio in Bucharest, Romania and the firm's Paris studio, the Duster is coupe crossover with three doors, a single door on the driver's side and two doors, including a rear-hinged 'suicide' door, on the passenger side.

The compact crossover that measures 4,250mm in length is powered by Renault-Nissan's 1.5 dCi diesel engine with 105-horsepower emitting 139g of CO2/km. The concept features an adaptable interior with the passenger seat sliding below the driver's seat allowing a large, 2-metre long load bay. Also, the Duster comes with a tailgated box structure that can slide out of the rear of the car, creating an extra pick-up load bed.

Geneva Preview: Teaser Video of Dacia's Crossover Concept

In addition to a set of leaked photos that seem to preview a three-door concept car, Renault's Romanian-based, Dacia low-cost car brand released a new cartoonish teaser video depicting a crossover study that is set to debut at the Geneva Motor Show. While at first it doesn't appear that these two concept cars are related, we wouldn't be surprised if it turns out that Dacia's concept car is a three-door crossover. But until Dacia decides to release some official info, all of this is pure speculation.

Dacia Coupe-Like Concept Photos Leaked Ahead of Geneva

Over the past few years, the Renault-Nissan Alliance has been gradually expanding the model portfolio of its Dacia low-cost brand with vehicles like the Sandero hatchback, Logan sedan, Logan MCV, Logan van and Logan pick-up. Now the Romanian automaker is readying a new concept car for the Geneva Show that could very well lead to a another production model. These teaser photos, which come to us from our Polish friends at Moto.Onet, show what appears to be a VW Scirocco-like coupe model.

We asked around and received confirmation that Dacia will indeed present this concept car at the Swiss auto show, but unfortunately, we could not get any more details at this time. So for now, check out the photos below and stay tuned on autoscardesign as we'll update this story as soon as we get more information.
